Pritish Nandy Communications has set new standards for Bollywood. Even though it functions clearly in the domain of commercial cinema, its films have won some of the highest awards in the world. It is also the first production house to make global co-productions and use international crew to make Indian films. Kaante was shot entirely in Hollywood and Hazaaron Khwahishein Aisi was made with the support of some of the bestknown French technicians, courtesy Fond Sud. The Mystic Masseur, Nobel Prize winning author VS Naipaul’s first work to be ever filmed, was a PNC co-production with Ivory Merchant. While Bollywood Calling was one of the first English films to be made in Bollywood, unleashing the phenomenon subsequently labelled as crossover cinema. PNC films are famous for their styling and technical excellence.
