It therefore made the first moves in the crossover genre by producing movies like Bollywood Calling directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, Jhankaar Beats directed by Sujoy Ghosh, Sur directed by Tanuja Chandra, Kaante directed by Sanjay Gupta, The Mystic Masseur directed by Ismail Merchant, Mumbai Matinee directed by Anant Balani and Hazaaron Khwahishein Aisi directed by Sudhir Mishra.
